Committees are an important part of life at Las Brisas. Committees help us maintain the property, keep informed, and have fun! Like the Board of Directors, committees are made up of Las Brisas residents who volunteer their time, and get nothing in return except the satisfaction of helping make life here better for all of us.

The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is reviews and approves modifications, additions, and alterations to the property and units, to preserve the architectural integrity and visual appeal of the community, and to ensure the work is done in accordance with codes and completed by appropriately licensed contractors.

The Communications Committee publishes news, announcements, event information, and other topics of interest to members of the Las Brisas community.

The Decorations Committee handles community decorations for holidays and social events.

The Emergency Management/Hurricane Committee oversees all activities related to emergency management and planning, for example, storm preparation.

The Landscape Committee oversees and manages all landscape maintenance, improvements and changes that are approved by the Board of Directors.

The Maintenance Committee is responsible to oversee the condition of all major HOA infrastructure components of the community. In coordination with assigned property management the committee will oversee the monitoring, inspection and maintenance of community painting, roads, beach, roofing, etc.

The Pool Committee notifies GRS or the Board of Directors (as appropriate) about any pool-related issues, including problems with equipment or furniture and pool maintenance issues. Note that the Pool Committee is not responsible for arranging pool furniture, closing umbrellas, or picking up trash -- everyone who uses the pool area is responsible for straightening furniture and cleaning up when they leave.

The Rules Committee helps the Board of Directors enforce Las Brisas HOA rules and guidelines.

The Social Committee organizes several events that provide opportunities to get together for some fun with your neighbors. The Spring Fling and Fall Fest are the social major events of the year, with catered food, live music, and (for Spring Fling only) a raffle. The TGIF party, on the first Friday of each month, is an informal get-together at the pool starting at 6pm. Events are advertised on the bulletin board in the mail center and on the web site. All residents are encouraged to attend.
